Igor Stefanov
Director, General Manager
As General Manager, Mr. Igor Stefanov is responsible for providing leadership that positions the company at the forefront of the clinical trial industry in Russia. With more than 15 years of experience in business consulting and general management, Igor has focused his energies on developing strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability and growth of Synergy Research Group as an organization. Igor oversees company operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.

Prior to joining Synergy Research Group in January 2007, Igor was General Manager of Smartlock, the Russian biometric company and was recognized as Entrepreneur of the Month by the Russian edition of Forbes magazine in May 2005. With MBA in Economics and strong local expertise Igor Stefanov has been providing business consulting services to large multi-national companies including Pfizer, J&J, GlaxoSmithKline, F.Hoffmann-La Roche and others in Russia since 1993.

Svetlana Timofeeva
Director, Clinical Operations
Svetlana Timofeeva, MD, PhD, gained her medical experience as a Cardiologist at the State Research Center for Preventive Medicine in Moscow. Svetlana is the author of more than 50 articles published in Russian and international scientific magazines.
At Synergy Research Group, Svetlana’s duties include strategic planning of clinical operations, and implementation of goals set or approved by the senior management. Svetlana is in charge of all projects conducted by the company, providing guidance and leadership to the clinical operations team. Working in close collaboration with the HR/Training department, Svetlana is responsible for training of CRAs and Project Managers. Svetlana supervises performance of regulatory affairs department as well.

Prior to joining SynRG Svetlana had worked at a CRO Evidence Clinical and Pharmaceutical Research, then at Worldwide Clinical Trials, as a Director of Moscow office managing all local operations.

Anna Ravdel
Director, Business Development
Anna Ravdel graduated from the University of Manchester with an MBA degree, and worked as a marketing and sales director in various international companies. Prior to joining SynRG, Anna had worked as a Director of Business Development at Evidence Clinical and Pharmaceutical Research (Russia/USA) and Director of Business Development, Eastern Europe, at a global CRO Worldwide Clinical Trials.
At her current position, Anna’s responsibilities include elaboration of business development strategies, including development of key goals and methods to achieve them. In cooperation with operational departments, Anna is in charge of development of budget and proposal tools to meet client needs, as well as mechanics for minimization

of turnaround time from request for proposal to ready-to-send document. Anna also works out marketing programs, including web-site content and update policy, participation in trade-shows, publishing in professional journals, and creation of advertisement policies.

Elena Malysheva
Head of the Training Center
As a clinical pharmacologist, for many years Elena Malysheva had been teaching clinical pharmacology and gave a course entitled “Clinical Trials Organization, Planning and Conduct” at the Russian State Medical University (RSMU), Department of Clinical Pharmacology. Elena also participated in a lot of multi-center clinical trials as an investigator, and served as an executive secretary of the RSMU Ethics Committee.
During the last five years, Elena worked as a scientific adviser of the American pharmaceutical company “Abbott Laboratories”, then as a Director of the Educational Center at a Russian contract research organization.

At Synergy Research Group Elena’s responsibilities encompass Educational Center management, including organization of systems of basic education and professional development for company employees, determination and satisfaction of educational needs, development of perspective educational plans, organization and conduct of different trainings, as well as evaluation of educational programs’ efficiency.
In addition, Elena cooperates with the international educational organizations (e.g. The European Forum for Good Clinical Practices (EFGCP)), promoting implementation of European experience into the Russian clinical trials market.

Anton Nikitin
Director, IT
Anton Nikitin graduated summa cum laude from the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, where he began his acquaintance with advanced computer technologies. Upon graduation, Anton worked for 12 years in the bank industry specializing in information security of international payment systems. Prior to joining Synergy Research Group, Anton had served as Chief Production Engineer at a leading Russian biometric company Smartlock, where he was responsible for development, production and installation of biometric systems for fingerprint-based access.

At SynRG, Anton supervises all aspects of IT function. He administers IT strategies and their implementation, oversees optimization of company business processes via IT, ensures secure and smooth performance of IT equipment and manages organization and proper functioning of technology-protected access to restricted areas, etc., while correlating IT objectives with those of the company.
