May 25, 2007

GCP training in Kazakhstan Synergy Group Kazakhstan held a seminar entitled GCP – Introduction To Good Clinical Practice in Almaty on May 25-26. The seminar objective is to introduce GCP (Good Clinical Practice) principles to experts of different specialties for their further advanced training in international centers and organizations and their possible participation in clinical studies in Kazakhstan in the future. Experts in the field of cardiology, oncology and psychiatry as well as health care organizers and managers from pharmaceutical companies took part in the seminar.

Such pharmaceutical companies as Servier, Sanofi-Aventis, Janssen-Cilag, GlaxoSmithKline, Eli Lilly, Egis and Nycomed as well as Information Center for Drugs from the town of Karaganda backed up the seminar on an active basis.

The students taking part in the seminar underwent intensive training in the field of clinical studies. Finally, all of the students were issued certificates confirming their participation in the training.

The key lines of Synergy Group Kazakhstan’s activities are organization and assistance in the field of conducting clinical studies, marketing research and bioequivalence studies. In addition, the Company is going to carry out large-scale educational activities related to the training of Kazakh experts in the field of clinical studies, GCP principles, clinical monitoring and other aspects of clinical studies. Promotion of clinical studies in Kazakhstan and publication of a specialized edition on clinical studies in the Republic of Kazakhstan belong to the Company’s third key line of activities.

“It is important that in addition to theoretical knowledge the students developed practical skills on how to fill in case report forms, make reports and process other kinds of documents,” Synergy Group Kazakhstan’s Director Irina Kim says.
